SIC Insurance PLC has settled a $1,020,077.98 non-motor insurance claim for the Volta River Authority (VRA) under its Asset All Risk Policy.

The payment covers damages from an explosion in the feed water pipeline of VRA’s Heat Recovery Steam Generator at Aboadze.

At a ceremony in Accra, SIC’s Acting MD, James Agyenim-Boateng, presented the cheque to VRA’s CEO, Ing. Edward Obeng-Kenzo, reaffirming SIC’s commitment to prompt claim settlements.

He noted that SIC had previously paid VRA $4.3 million in 2021, highlighting the company’s financial strength.

Obeng-Kenzo praised SIC for its reliability and called for stronger collaboration between state agencies to enhance efficiency and public confidence in government institutions.
