SIC Insurance PLC to provide rewards system to high-performing agents

On Tuesday, SIC Insurance PLC management met with the Agents Association of SIC Insurance PLC (ASICA). The meeting took place at the National Insurance Commission (NIC) headquarters in Accra.

The purpose was to recognize agents' dedication and address operational challenges. They also aimed to explore new ways for collaboration and growth. Agents from across the country attended, showing their commitment to the SIC brand.

ASICA President Mr. Fred Kakra Wilson opened the meeting. He congratulated Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng on becoming Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC. Mr. Wilson noted that Mr. Agyenim-Boateng's leadership has brought new energy to the organization.

He highlighted the important role agents play in driving premium production. He expressed hope that management would support agents in exceeding their targets for 2025.

In response, Mr. Agyenim-Boateng thanked ASICA members for their loyalty and contributions. He mentioned that some agents have served SIC for up to 50 years, showcasing their dedication.

“Our company’s foundation was built on our Agency force over six decades ago,” he said. “The formation of ASICA in 1989 confirms you are our backbone.”

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng shared his vision for deeper collaboration with ASICA. He promised to strengthen training programs to enhance agents' skills in business and portfolio management.

He also announced plans for a competitive rewards system for high-performing agents. Additionally, he assured ASICA that management would streamline operations to improve efficiency.

To foster better engagement, he pledged open communication channels with agents. Their feedback will help shape SIC’s strategic direction moving forward.

“As management, we are committed to growth, innovation, and excellence,” he stated. “Our goal is to empower our agents with tools, training, and incentives.”

Mr. Agyenim-Boateng encouraged agents to represent the SIC brand with trust and professionalism. “We are not just selling insurance policies; we aim to make a difference,” he said.

He emphasized helping individuals recover from loss and supporting businesses during tough times.
