Franklin Cudjoe, Founding President of IMANI Africa, has highlighted aspects of the 2025 Budget that he believes provide financial relief to Ghanaians, particularly through tax adjustments.
Speaking on The Keypoints on March 15, he noted that reducing taxes like the e-levy effectively puts money back into people’s hands, increasing disposable income.
He emphasized that this could significantly benefit small business owners, especially women entrepreneurs, by reducing transaction costs and improving their ability to save and reinvest.
While acknowledging that tax relief alone may not be enough, Cudjoe stressed that national budgets should prioritize tangible improvements in essential sectors like healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation to have a meaningful impact on livelihoods.
