Second annual Supply Chain Business Forum and Exhibition set for April 29-30

Business leaders and supply chain experts will meet on April 29-30. The venue is the Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, Ghana. This event is CARISCA’s second annual Supply Chain Business Forum and Exhibition.

The theme for this year is “Fueling Africa’s Growth: Supply Chain Innovation and Financing.” The forum aims to improve supply chain management across Africa. It targets business leaders, industry professionals, and academics involved in applied research.

The first event took place in July and attracted nearly 280 participants from six countries. A post-event survey showed that 94% of attendees would return next year.

The Business Forum will feature prominent entrepreneurs and business executives as speakers. There will be ample time for networking and exploring the exhibition space. Leading companies will showcase their products and services during the event.

Attendees can learn about best practices in supply chain management across Africa. They will also discuss how university research can support African businesses.

Programme

Macdonald Vasnani, founder and CEO of Conship Group, will deliver the opening keynote speech. He started his career as a customs house agent before founding Conship in 1996. His company has grown into a major logistics provider.

Vasnani's topic is “Fueling Africa’s Growth Through Collaborations and Partnerships via Shared Resources.” After his presentation, there will be a panel discussion on “Unlocking Innovation: How Africa’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Can Transform Supply Chains.”

Dale Rogers, CARISCA Executive Director and Arizona State University Professor, will also speak at the forum. He was inducted into the Supply Chain Hall of Fame in 2021. Rogers specializes in reverse logistics, sustainable supply chains, finance, and secondary markets.

He will discuss “Using the Supply Chain to Finance Your Company.” Following his talk, he will join a panel on innovative supply chain financing models.

Ivy Apea Owusu, CEO of Cirrus Oil Services, is another keynote speaker. She is an expert in energy-structured finance within Ghana's oil sector. Owusu has been recognized as one of Corporate Ghana's Top 20 Matriarchs.

Her topic is “The Nexus between Supply Chain Innovation and Financing: the Case of Ghana’s Oil Sector.”

The program includes a session on the Ghana Logistics Managers Index (LMI). CARISCA created this tool in 2022 to aid business decision-makers. The quarterly index serves as a predictive indicator for Ghana's economy.

Registration

Early-bird pricing for the 2025 Business Forum ends on February 10. Groups of five or more from one company can receive registration discounts. Seats are limited; we expect quick sell-out.

Registration is only available for in-person attendees this year. Unlike most CARISCA events that are hybrid, this forum focuses on maximizing exhibition space and networking opportunities.
