Spain leads 2025 digital nomad rankings, UAE and Montenegro follow

Spain has been ranked the best country for digital nomads in 2025, according to VisaGuide’s latest index.

The ranking, based on factors like living costs, internet speed, taxation, and healthcare, places the UAE and Montenegro in second and third positions.

Spain’s strong healthcare system and popularity among tourists contributed to its top spot, despite a high minimum income requirement of €2,140.

The UAE attracts nomads with tax-free earnings and fast internet but demands a €5,000 monthly income for a visa.

Montenegro stands out for its affordability and no income requirement, though internet speed remains a drawback.

Other top destinations include the Bahamas, Hungary, Canada, Romania, Portugal, Brazil, and Curaçao, each offering unique advantages for remote workers.
