The report launch event took place in Accra on May 14, 2025. It gathered business leaders, media, and communication professionals.
The report aims to show how customers view businesses, especially banks. It explores trust, brand strength, loyalty, and long-term performance.
Sharon Anim is the Marketing Communication Manager at Stratcomm Africa. She stated that brand perception goes beyond a logo or name. “When people hear your name, what comes to mind? That is your brand health,” she explained.
She emphasized that public perception shapes a brand's reputation over time. Companies should pay attention to how they are viewed by the public.
Esther A.N. Cobbah is the CEO of Stratcomm Africa. She stressed the importance of using evidence-based strategies in business. Companies should not rely on guesswork but use data for planning and communication.
Cobbah compared data to a diagnostic tool for organizations. It helps them understand their current position and areas for improvement. “We often assume we know what our customers want,” she said. “But data challenges that assumption.”
She added that understanding customers requires listening smarter, not just speaking louder. Good communication starts with listening and caring for those we serve.
Mussa K. Dankwah is the Executive Director of Global Info Analytics. He noted that many companies spend on advertising without asking customers what they think.
He mentioned that perception may not always reflect reality but still influences behavior. “With the right data, even bad opinions can be changed,” he said.
The report examines service quality, trust, customer loyalty, and satisfaction levels. Dankwah clarified that it aims to help brands improve rather than shame them.
This partnership between Stratcomm Africa and Global Info Analytics will continue with future reports focusing on other industries like telecoms, health, and education.
The key message for businesses was clear: Listen to your customers and understand the data to grow effectively.
