Stratcomm CEO urges student leaders to embrace purposeful communication

“To excel as a leader, your choice of words is crucial,” she said.

Effective communication influences others and must be strategic.

The training program aimed to equip young IPR-Ghana leaders with key skills.

Ms. Cobbah expressed concern over leadership styles that ignore followers' input. She called such approaches unproductive and emphasized collaboration.

“Leadership exists because of followers,” she added. Their trust makes leadership meaningful.

She reiterated Stratcomm Africa’s commitment to developing young leaders through training. This training focuses on effective communication to support Ghana’s development.

Gabriel Nii Otu Ankra, National Treasurer of IPR-Ghana, highlighted the importance of communication in leadership. He affirmed the institute's goal to nurture youth leadership.

“University is a hub for leadership development,” he stated. Student leaders need strong communication skills to succeed.

The training targets 40 student chapter executives, with more expected soon. Each group will have a two-day session followed by a graduation ceremony.
