The Paramount Chief of Wassa Amenfi, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, called for more recognition of the arts. He emphasized that arts are vital for national development.
He discussed Ghana's creative arts industry, including music, film, fashion, and visual arts. This industry significantly contributes to employment and tourism.
The Chief stressed investing in creative arts education for youth empowerment. He also mentioned how technology impacts creativity today.
He pointed out tools like 3D printing and virtual reality expand opportunities for artists. He urged supportive policies and funding for creative industries.
Prof. Owusu Ansah Ankrah, Dean of FAAT, described art as a problem-solving tool. He explained it bridges traditional practices with innovative ones.
He emphasized that students' creativity lays groundwork for future industries and cultural exchanges. Derick Darko, President of the FAAT Students Association, launched the faculty cloth.
He highlighted how arts foster critical thinking beyond traditional learning boundaries. Darko stated that shared ideas lead to broader outcomes globally.
