The Chairman of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Bernard Owusu, has outlined key expectations for President John Dramani Mahama’s upcoming State of the Nation Address on February 27.

Speaking on Channel One Newsroom, Owusu called for clarity on the government’s “resetting agenda,” urging specific details and actionable measures.

He emphasized the need for policies to address the rising cost of living and unemployment while also advocating for national unity and a reduction in extreme partisanship.

Additionally, the TUC seeks firm commitments on wage reforms, including addressing disparities, adopting a living wage, and improving pension coverage, especially for informal sector workers.

Owusu expressed hope that the president’s address will provide concrete solutions to these pressing concerns.
