Taptap Send, a global fintech company specializing in cross-border money transfers, has resumed operations in Ghana after a brief suspension.

The hiatus followed a directive from the Bank of Ghana, which temporarily paused Taptap Send’s partnership with local banks and fintechs due to its newly launched wallet product. The suspension was lifted earlier than expected on December 4, 2024.

Taptap Send enables Ghanaians abroad in the UK, Europe, Canada, the USA, and the UAE to send money home efficiently.

Darryl Mawutor Abraham, Head of Taptap Send Africa, thanked customers for their patience and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and providing fast, secure, and affordable remittance services.

Ghana remains a key market for Taptap Send, which operates in over 40 countries to promote financial inclusion and economic growth.
