Tariff Hike: GUTA Urges PURC to Address ECG and GWL Issues
The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has expressed concerns. They are worried about the recent tariff hike. GUTA believes the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) must take action.
GUTA wants the PURC to fix issues with Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). They also want improvements at Ghana Water Limited (GWL). Mismanagement in these companies is a major concern for GUTA.
The association argues that consumers should not bear the burden. They believe fixing these issues will help everyone. GUTA calls for better management and accountability from these utilities.
They emphasize that effective solutions are necessary for fair tariffs. The association hopes for prompt action from the PURC. This will ensure better services for all consumers in Ghana.
