Absa Bank has launched the ‘She Business’ product. It offers collateral-free loans up to GHc2 million. The interest rate is 10 percent per annum for eligible female entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to address Ghana’s $6.1 billion credit gap for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Dr. Edward Nartey Botchway, Managing Director of Absa Bank Ghana, stated that ‘She Business’ supports women entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of helping them seize business opportunities. This program aims to create a system that helps MSMEs thrive.

Audrey Abakah, Director of SME Banking and Partnerships at Absa Bank, explained the evolution of support for women entrepreneurs. She highlighted that their approach is based on feedback from women about their needs. The ‘She Business’ program focuses on practical support and affordable credit.

The launch event included Absa Bank leadership, women business owners, and corporate leaders. Representatives from Mastercard Foundation, Hollard Ghana, DHL Group, and others were also present.

Tawa encouraged women entrepreneurs to utilize both the ‘She Business’ account and Telecel’s Women in Business package. These initiatives aim to help businesses grow and scale effectively.
