On Thursday, March 13, the Bank of Ghana (BoG) reported that the Cedi was trading at 15.5322 per Dollar (buying) and 15.5478 (selling). The Pound Sterling was exchanged at 20.1469 (buying) and 20.1686 (selling), while the Euro stood at 16.9387 (buying) and 16.9526 (selling).
New BoG Governor Dr. Johnson Asiama has vowed to preserve exchange rate stability by implementing a new foreign exchange law, improving forex market transparency, leveraging gold reserves, and enhancing reserve management.
He emphasized curbing currency speculation and ensuring a resilient foreign exchange market to support economic growth. BoG remains committed to stabilizing the Cedi through strategic interventions.
