The University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) and the Business & Financial Times (B&FT) are in discussions to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry. This initiative comes as part of an effort to align educational programs with the evolving needs of the business sector, ensuring that graduates possess relevant skills for today’s job market.
During a recent meeting, UPSA officials emphasized the importance of collaboration with industry players to enhance educational outcomes. They highlighted the need for academic institutions to adapt their curricula in response to real-world challenges faced by businesses. The proposed MoU seeks to create opportunities for internships, workshops, and research collaborations, fostering a symbiotic relationship between students and industry professionals.
B&FT's commitment to supporting educational initiatives aligns with its mission to promote economic development through informed analysis and reporting. With this partnership, both organizations aim not only to enrich student experiences but also to contribute significantly to Ghana’s workforce development strategy.
