VFS Global clarifies its role: Governments control visa appointments

VFS Global has clarified that it does not control visa appointment availability, which is solely managed by the respective governments.

In a statement from Accra, the company emphasized that factors such as mandatory documentation, appointment slots, processing times, and visa application decisions are under the discretion of government authorities.

VFS Global’s role is limited to managing the front-end administrative tasks of the visa application process, collecting forms, enrolling biometrics, and returning passports after decisions are made.

The company underscored its commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and continuous technological upgrades, including the use of Generative AI.
