Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor is the Majority Chief Whip and MP for South Dayi. He expressed regret over the chaos during a recent vetting session in Parliament.
On April 3, he spoke to Channel One Newsroom about the incident. He called it avoidable and apologized for the disruption caused.
Dafeamekpor highlighted that parliamentary protocols guide how to handle disagreements. He said, “If a caucus disagrees with a committee's actions, we can walk out.”
He acknowledged the incident's impact but noted that Parliament has moved forward. "We have resumed cooperation on various matters," he stated.
He reiterated his apology, saying it was regrettable but they have since moved on. "Both houses have cooperated on nearly every matter before us," he added.
