Volkswagen Ghana has launched the new Volkswagen Touareg, reinforcing its commitment to local assembly and affordable vehicle financing. Since starting operations in 2020, VW Ghana has introduced multiple models and aims to position the country as a regional automotive hub.

CEO Jeffrey J.O. Peprah emphasized the global standards of Ghana-assembled vehicles and the company’s expansion into West African markets.

To improve affordability, VW is working with the government and financial institutions on a structured financing scheme, making new cars more accessible. The company is also advocating for phasing out salvage imports to promote quality, locally assembled vehicles.

The new Touareg boasts advanced technology and premium features, with test drives and special offers available. VW’s long-term goal is to develop a local automotive value chain and create jobs.
