The West African Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo) has successfully completed pipeline maintenance and resumed gas transportation to Ghana, Togo, and Benin. The four-week project involved offshore pipeline cleaning, subsea valve replacements, and inspections across multiple locations.

Despite a temporary gas supply shutdown in Cotonou, Lomé, and Tema, the maintenance was completed ahead of schedule with high safety standards.

WAPCo Managing Director Michelle Burkett praised the team’s dedication and thanked the governments of Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, and Benin, along with regulatory bodies and stakeholders, for their support.

WAPCo reaffirmed its commitment to safe and reliable gas transportation, ensuring sustained energy supply in the West African sub-region.
