Wencai Zhang, the Managing Director of the World Bank Group, visited Ghana on Friday. He met with Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson at the Ministry.
The meeting aimed to improve cooperation between Ghana and the World Bank. They discussed key areas like agriculture, transportation, and energy.
Dr. Ato Forson requested more support from the World Bank in these sectors. He emphasized their importance for Ghana's long-term economic growth.
He also suggested creating a World Bank regional hub in Ghana. This would enhance collaboration and speed up development projects.

He mentioned that the World Bank has experience in agricultural transformation. This expertise can help evolve Ghana’s agricultural sector.
Additionally, he shared that the Bank is working on initiatives for Ghana’s energy sector.
