Members of the Agents Association of SIC Insurance PLC (ASICA) are pleased with Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng's appointment as Managing Director. They believe his leadership will help them secure more business.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng was appointed by President Mahama in January. ASICA views this decision as the best choice made by the President.
At a recent meeting in Accra, Mr. Samuel Kumi, a leading SIC agent, praised Mr. Agyenim-Boateng's personality. He noted that it gives agents an advantage in the market.
The meeting aimed to recognize agents' dedication and address operational concerns. It also sought to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Agents from various regions attended, showing their commitment to the SIC brand. Mr. Kumi shared an example where a client mentioned Mr. Agyenim-Boateng had already visited them, making business easier.
He acknowledged that SIC faced challenges over the past eight years but believes things have improved since Mr. Agyenim-Boateng's appointment.
ASICA President Fred Kakra Wilson congratulated Mr. Agyenim-Boateng on his new role. He said that his presence has brought renewed hope to the company.
Wilson expressed that their spirits were lifted after engaging with Mr. Agyenim-Boateng about his vision for reclaiming lost business from key state institutions.
He highlighted that the Managing Director’s proactive approach is already yielding results. In early 2025, premiums collected by SIC Agents increased by 16% compared to 2024.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng thanked ASICA members for their vital role in SIC's success. Some agents have been with the company for up to fifty years, showing remarkable loyalty.
He emphasized that agents are the backbone of SIC Insurance PLC, which started with them over sixty years ago and formed ASICA in 1989.
Mr. Agyenim-Boateng promised to enhance training programs for agents’ skills and introduce a rewards system for their hard work.
He also plans to streamline processes for greater efficiency and maintain open communication channels for feedback on business strategies.
“I am committed to growth, innovation, and excellence,” he stated confidently during the meeting.
He urged ASICA members to continue being ambassadors of trust and professionalism for SIC Insurance PLC.
“We aim not just to sell insurance policies but also make a difference,” he concluded, emphasizing support during difficult times.
