The IMF has praised Ghana for its strong performance under the $3 billion Extended Credit Facility (ECF) program, following the successful completion of the third review. The IMF approved a $360 million disbursement, bringing the total to $1.92 billion.
Key achievements highlighted include progress in debt restructuring, with Ghana completing both domestic and Eurobond debt exchanges, and ongoing talks with external creditors.
The IMF also acknowledged rapid economic growth recovery, declining inflation, and improving fiscal and external positions.
Furthermore, the Bank of Ghana's prudent monetary policies were praised for curbing inflation and rebuilding reserves.
