Zenith Bank refurbishes 6-classroom block for Odumase Basic School

Zenith Bank Ghana Ltd has refurbished a six-classroom block at Odumase M/A Basic School ‘4’. They also built a new four-unit toilet facility for the school in the Ga West municipality of Greater Accra Region.

The Bank provided new desks, tables, cupboards, and learning materials. These improvements aim to enhance the learning environment for students and teachers.

In 2015, Zenith Bank adopted Odumase M/A Basic School ‘4’ as part of its corporate social responsibility. Since then, they have consistently renovated the school's infrastructure.

These latest developments were promised during the Bank’s 19th anniversary celebration last year. This reaffirms their ongoing support for educational advancement.

Cynthia Amerley Amarteifio, Group Head of Marketing at Zenith Bank, spoke on behalf of the MD/CEO. She highlighted the Bank’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship.

“Since starting operations in 2005, we have supported health and education initiatives,” she said. “We focus on investing in people and technology for community growth.”

Madam Amarteifio emphasized that refurbishing the school block shows their dedication to sustainable development. "We want to create an environment where learning thrives," she stated.

Headmistress Linda Offeibea Larbi expressed gratitude to Zenith Bank for their support. She noted that these efforts significantly improve the learning environment for pupils.

“We are thankful for Zenith Bank's commitment to education,” she said. “This building represents hope and a promise for our children's future.”

Ms. Larbi praised Zenith Bank’s leadership for supporting education in Odumase. She believes their contributions will positively impact future generations.

“It is through partnerships like this that we can create better learning environments,” she added.

She also pledged to maintain the school and toilet facility for future use.

Victor Noye Tawiah, Municipal Director of Education for Ga West, called Zenith Bank's gesture a valuable investment in children’s futures. He believes it will inspire hope and excellence among students.

The event included teachers from the school, members of the Ga West Education Directorate, local assembly members, and representatives from Ga Odumase stool.

Zenith Bank's efforts align with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. This underscores their commitment to making a positive impact on communities they serve.
