eTranzact Ghana wins ‘Outstanding Payments Technology Provider of the Year’

eTranzact Ghana Limited, a top payment technology provider, has received two awards. These were presented at the Ghana Corporate Finance Awards and Dinner Gala 2025. The company won Outstanding Payments Technology Provider of the Year 2024. Its CEO, John Apea, was named Outstanding Fintech CEO of the Year.

These awards highlight eTranzact Ghana’s leadership in financial technology. They also show the company's commitment to growing the Fintech ecosystem. eTranzact has transformed the fintech industry by integrating new technologies. This enhances its business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) services.

Winning Outstanding Payments Technology Provider of the Year showcases eTranzact’s user-friendly digital solutions. One example is the XCEL Ghana mobile app. This app makes electronic transactions more convenient and secure. It allows users to send and receive money easily to bank accounts and mobile wallets.

The XCEL app also supports Micro-Savings with eSusu, bill payments, and airtime top-ups. It offers affordable transaction costs and seamless payment gateways. These features set new standards in the industry for millions of Ghanaians seeking secure financial services.

This year marks four awards for eTranzact Ghana. Earlier, it was named ‘Fintech Company of the Year’ 2024 at the Ghana Fintech Awards in March 2025. The company also secured ‘Leading Payments Technology Service Provider’ for two consecutive years.

In an interview after receiving these honors, CEO John Apea emphasized their significance. He noted that these awards reflect consistent delivery of reliable payment solutions. “Pioneers usually don’t win awards after 20 years,” he said, highlighting their ongoing innovation.

Apea explained that eTranzact aims to disrupt the fintech space continually. The company partners with banks and other fintechs to deliver innovative products to customers. He assured that new disruptive products will be launched before year-end 2025.

The Ghana Corporate Finance Awards gala was organized by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG). The theme was “Celebrating Excellence in the Corporate Finance Industry.” This event recognizes exceptional achievements among CEOs and organizations in finance.
