3 in court for allegedly defrauding Alpha Lotto

Three individuals—Albert Nii Tetteh, Wisdom Kortorshi, and Richard Osei—have been remanded by the Dansoman Circuit Court for allegedly defrauding Alpha Lotto Company Limited of GH₵160,000.

The accused, two sub-lotto agents and a phone repairer, pleaded not guilty to charges of defrauding by false pretence.

The court, presided over by Her Honour Halimah El-Alawa Abdul Baasit, denied their bail, citing ongoing investigations and concerns over a fourth suspect still at large.

The prosecution revealed the accused used falsified winning tickets to claim lottery payouts on two occasions.

Their next hearing is set for November 27, 2024.
