Adu-Boahene, wife, 2 others in court… for allegedly stealing State’s GH¢49m

Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, is in court. He is accused of stealing GH¢49 million from the state. His wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, and two others are also involved.

They allegedly committed this crime while procuring a cyber defense system. The system was meant for Ghana and sourced from ISC Holdings Limited. This company specializes in Israeli cyber security technology.

The other two accused are Mildred Donkor and Advantage Solutions Limited. All four face serious charges including conspiracy to commit money laundering. They are also charged with using public office for profit and obtaining property by false statements.

The Attorney-General, Dr. Dominic Akurutinga Ayine, signed the fact sheet for this case. Mr. Adu-Boahene was the Director-General until February 2025.
