Nine individuals accused of conspiring to murder a taxi driver, Kwadwo Donkor, have been remanded into prison custody by the Tarkwa Magistrate Court One.

Presided over by Mr. Charles Owusu Nsiah, the court did not take their pleas.

The accused, comprising teachers, masons, drivers, and farmers, are set to reappear on January 6, 2025.

According to Prosecuting Sergeant Enoch Assan Donkor, the deceased was tied to an electric pole and severely beaten after being accused of theft by a suspect now on the run.

The attackers later dumped his body in a bush along the Tarkwa-Bogoso highway.

Investigations led to the arrests, with one suspect confessing and identifying accomplices.

The police are working to provide detailed evidence on the role of each accused in the murder.
