Alleged cocaine smuggling: 4 remanded in NACOC custody

The Accra circuit court has remanded four individuals in custody. They are accused of trying to transport suspected cocaine. This incident occurred at the Swissport Cargo Terminal, Kotoka International Airport.

The four are Gariba Soli, Josiah Biney, Emmanuel Minta, and Kwabena Ampofo Anti. They face charges of conspiracy to commit a crime. They are also charged with possession of narcotic drugs without lawful authority.

Mrs. Sedinam Awo Kwadam presided over the court session. The accused will reappear in court on May 6, 2025.

Soli is an artefact dealer based at the Art Exhibition Centre in Accra. Biney, Minta, and Ampofo Anti work as freight forwarders. They are employees of Ansahdys Shipping and Logistics Company Limited at Avance Cargo Village.
