Attack on Chief of Army Staff in Bawku false - GAF

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has dismissed social media reports.

These reports claimed that Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetamu was attacked.

He visited Bawku last week for official engagements.

The GAF stated that he had a productive meeting with security and civilians.

They confirmed that no attack occurred during his visit.

Brigadier General E. Aggrey-Quarshie signed a news release on this matter.

He is the Director General of Public Relations at the GAF.

The release was shared with the Ghanaian Times.

It addressed two viral videos claiming the Chief of Army Staff was attacked.
