Theresa Dogbe has been committed to stand trial at the Ho High Court on February 18, 2025, following a decision by the Hohoe District Court in the Volta Region.
The case, presented by Anthony Ghattie of the Office of State Attorney, was transferred from Jasikan District Court to Ho on the orders of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.
The charges stem from an incident on May 1, 2020, when Dogbe, who was pregnant at the time, allegedly attacked Mercy Tetteh with a machete, slashing her knee and abdomen.
Tetteh, severely injured, was rushed to the Jasikan Government Hospital for treatment.
Following her recovery, Tetteh reported the incident, leading to Dogbe's arrest. The case has been delayed due to multiple adjournments, but now proceeds to trial.
