Bono East Regional Fire Commander cautions against assault on GNFS personnel

The Bono East Regional Fire Commander, Rev Naomi Ofori-Adubea, has issued a warning.

She is an Assistant Chief Fire Officer II with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

Rev Ofori-Adubea urged the public to stop vandalism and assaults on fire personnel.

These actions occur especially during firefighting operations.

She emphasized that GNFS personnel deserve public support and respect.

This call was made during a remembrance parade in Techiman.

The event marked this year's International Firefighters Day.

It honored firefighters who died in the line of duty.

The theme was: “Appreciating Our Heroes; Say No To Fire Fighters and Fire Truck Vandalism.”

Rev Ofori-Adubea noted that these heroes face unacceptable challenges.

Assaults on firefighters and vandalism of fire trucks are serious issues.

Cutting delivery hoses during firefighting also occurs in some areas.

These acts hinder their ability to serve the country effectively.
