Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli, acquitted a year ago of high treason and abetment charges, has publicly shared the emotional and financial toll his four-year trial has taken.

In a recent interview, Col. Gameli described the ordeal as an “unforgivable and unforgettable” experience, suggesting that the trial may have been premeditated by some factions within the Ghana Armed Forces.

Despite being cleared by the Accra High Court, Col. Gameli’s post-trial life has been filled with hardships.

Following his reinstatement, he was quickly placed on leave and later retired, leaving him financially strained, unable to complete his house, and burdened with legal debts.

His calls for compensation for lost promotions, missed peacekeeping opportunities, and the abrupt end to his career have yet to be addressed.

Gameli remains determined to pursue his claims, with his lawyer exploring potential legal action in the future.
