Collins Amoah, the man accused of defrauding a businessman of GH¢800,000, has appeared in court with legal representation after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Amoah’s lawyer, Freeman Ndor, informed the Accra Circuit Court that his client had been out of the country when the investigation began and had not been invited for questioning by the police.

Amoah, a former NPP parliamentary aspirant for Ablekuma Central, expressed his willingness to cooperate and prove his innocence.

The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Teye Okuffo, requested more time to review the docket.

The case, involving allegations that Amoah and a trader misappropriated funds under the pretense of settling a tax debt, was adjourned to February 19, 2025.
