The Amasaman Circuit Court has granted bail of GHC50,000 each to two farmers, Solomon Armah Tagoe, 74, and David Nii Lantei Lamptey, 62, in a case involving alleged multiple land sales.

The accused, who pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to defraud and defrauding a bar operator, were ordered to provide two sureties with valid national IDs.

According to Police Chief Inspector Salifu Nashiru, the complainant, Augustine Tetteh, purchased land from the accused in 2014 for GHC7,000 but later discovered someone else had a title to it.

After being relocated to another plot, he faced a similar issue.

Following a police investigation, the duo was charged.

Their next court appearance is set for April 2, 2025.
