A bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of Collins Amoah, a former NPP parliamentary aspirant for Ablekuma Central, over his alleged role in a GH¢800,000 fraud case.
According to court documents, Amoah and a trader, Solomon Okuley, allegedly convinced a businessman to hand over the money under the pretext of using political connections to clear his GRA tax debt.
However, the prosecution claims they misappropriated the funds.
Okuley, who has pleaded not guilty, has been granted a GH¢1 million bail. He claims Amoah took GH¢650,000 for political activities.
The case has been adjourned to February 3, 2025, for further proceedings.
