Court sentences man for attacking journalists

The Asankragwa District Court has sentenced Daniel Baidoo. He received a fine of 300 penalty units. This is equivalent to GH¢3,600.

If he does not pay the fine, he will serve one year in prison.

Baidoo attacked journalists at Adumanya near Asankra Breman. The incident occurred in the Western Region.

The police arrested him on February 21, 2025. This was done by the Western Central Regional Police Command.

During the arrest, they retrieved a Panasonic Lumix camera and an iPhone. These items belonged to the victims.

The police released a press statement about Baidoo's conviction. His photograph was included because he has been convicted by the court.
