Dormaahene calls for arrest of chiefs, others involved in galamsey - Ghanaian Times

Osagyefo Oseadeyor Agyemang Badu II is the Dormaahene. He also serves as president of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs.

He has called on the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to take action. Specifically, he wants them to arrest chiefs and others involved in illegal mining.

Oseadeyor Agyemang Badu spoke at a meeting on Friday in Sunyani. This meeting was held for the Regional House of Chiefs.

He emphasized that the fight against illegal mining, known as ‘galamsey’, must be comprehensive. He believes that if all involved are prosecuted, it will deter others from participating.
