Driver accused of escaping from police custody remanded

A 28-year-old driver, Razak Sulley, has been remanded by the Adentan Circuit Court. He is accused of escaping from the Madina Divisional Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Sulley faces charges for escaping lawful custody. He pleaded not guilty in court.

He claimed he had been in cells without food. Sulley asked an investigator to use his GH¢35 for food.

He alleged that he received a hefty slap for this request. Despite this, he expressed regret for his actions.
