Former Ghana Black Stars player Samuel Inkoom has been granted bail of GHC100,000 with two sureties by the Accra Circuit Court over allegations of visa fraud.
The court, presided over by Mrs. Susana Eduful, directed that each surety must earn at least GHC5,000, and Inkoom must deposit his passport picture at the court registry.
Inkoom is accused of taking $4,000 from an entrepreneur, Madam Elizabeth Atarime Mboh Awuni, and $2,000 from Madam Abigail Owusu, under the pretext of securing them U.S. visas. However, he failed to deliver and allegedly went into hiding.
Police investigations revealed no evidence of a U.S.-based partner as claimed by Inkoom, labeling his assertions as fabrications.
He is scheduled to reappear in court on January 22, 2025.
