A fetish priest and two accomplices have been remanded by the Asante Akropong Circuit Court for allegedly stealing communication cables worth GHS 240,000 from a Glo Tower in Mfensi.
The suspects, 24-year-old Kwabena Appiah Agyei, a fetish priest, 20-year-old network installer Eric Kusi, and 22-year-old electrician Emmanuel Ampofo, were caught inside the company’s yard with the stolen cables.
Police say Kusi led the operation, climbing a 900-foot tower to cut the cables while the others assisted.
They allegedly posed as engineers before being arrested.
The trio faces charges of conspiracy, unlawful entry, causing damage, and theft.
They will reappear in court on March 5 for their plea to be heard.
