GIS alerts public about recruitment scam

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has issued a warning. They caution the public, especially job seekers, about fake recruitment ads on social media.

These misleading messages come from fraudsters. Their goal is to exploit desperate job seekers. They lure victims into making payments via mobile money for false job promises.

A statement from Mr. Amoako-Atta, Head of Public Affairs, was shared with The Ghanaian Times. It clearly stated that GIS is not conducting any recruitment exercise.

The GIS urged the public to ignore these advertisements. “These persons are fraudsters,” they said, “who are duping innocent job seekers.”
