The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is seeking justice for Ahmed Hussein Suale. He was an investigative journalist who was killed. The GJA plans to take the case to the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice.
International partners are supporting this effort. These include the Federation of African Journalists (FAJ) and the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). They aim to help secure justice for Suale through various international channels.
Mr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, GJA President, spoke at a news conference. This took place at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra on Wednesday. He expressed dissatisfaction with the case's progress in Ghana.
One suspect has been arrested and is on trial. However, many issues surrounding the case remain unclear. The GJA has struggled to get clarity from the Police on these matters.
