Gas station owner killed in robbery attack at Gomoa Akotsi

A tragic armed robbery claimed the life of Martin Okyere, a 50-year-old gas station owner, at Gomoa Akotsi in the Central Region’s Gomoa East District on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Popularly known as "Italian Burger," Mr. Okyere had operated the station for over 11 years.

Eyewitness Richmond Agyei reported hearing multiple gunshots and found the robbers ransacking the victim's room as he lay in a pool of blood.

Despite attempts to intervene, Mr. Okyere succumbed to his injuries.

His distraught sister, Lucas Esi, has appealed to the Ghana Police to bring the culprits to justice.
