Ghana Armed Forces conducts cordon and search in Bawku

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is helping civil authorities in Bawku. They aim to maintain law and order in the Upper East Region. The GAF has intensified operations due to ongoing clashes and gunfire.

Troops have conducted several cordon and search operations. These efforts are meant to restore calm and improve security.

On Monday morning, troops at Binduri heard gunshots. The shots came from the Binduri Central Market area. Personnel quickly moved to the location and cordoned off the area.

A combined team from the 11 Mechanised Battalion and the Joint Task Force responded. They were supported by local police forces during this operation.
