A tragic dispute in Gomoa Nyanyano, Central Region, has resulted in the death of a young man, Ato Kwame, also known as Shorkie, who was allegedly stabbed with scissors by an acquaintance, Robert.
The altercation reportedly arose over a GHS 30 debt.
Both men were part of the local "ghetto boys" community. Police have apprehended one suspect as investigations continue.
In response to the incident, Kyidomhene Sariki Abdullai Issaka Giwa and local leaders organized a crackdown on ghetto hideouts believed to harbor criminals.
Sariki Abdullai cited the growing crime rate, partly caused by an influx of criminal elements, as a major concern.
The community has called on the Ghana Police Service to enhance patrols and ensure safety in the area.
