Labourer in court over theft

Kwabena Frimpong, a labourer, faced the Adenta Circuit Court. He was charged with stealing three air-conditioner outdoor units. The total value of the units was GH¢12,000.

Frimpong worked as a gardener for a retired lecturer in Amrahia, Accra. He pleaded guilty to the charges against him.

In court, he explained his financial struggles. He stole the equipment after his pregnant wife asked for money.

Frimpong admitted to selling the stolen units for GH¢1,000 each. He sold them to a friend named Ebenezer. However, he did not know where Ebenezer was now.
