Man shot dead in Sagnarigu after dispute

A 26-year-old man, Yakubu Mohammed Habib, has been shot and killed in Fou, Sagnarigu Municipality, following a dispute involving his brother, Mustapha Muktadel, and a neighbor, Baba Habib.

The altercation began on February 25, 2025, when Baba Habib and his friends allegedly assaulted Mustapha.

Hours later, around 12:30 a.m., Baba Habib reportedly returned with a group of 20 people. During the confrontation, an unknown individual retrieved a pump-action gun from a Mitsubishi Pajero and shot Yakubu.

He was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital but succumbed to his injuries at 4:30 a.m.

Police have arrested Baba Habib and Alhassan Fuseini as investigations continue.

The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy.
