Millennium City murder case: Court denies BenLord Ababio bail again

The Accra High Court has denied bail to Nana Barima Ababio, also known as BenLord Ababio, accused of fatally shooting a military officer over a land dispute at Millennium City, Kasoa.

He is facing trial alongside Nana Kofi Amo Kwakye for conspiracy, while BenLord faces an additional charge of murder.

His lawyer argued that he was not a flight risk and should be granted bail, but the prosecution opposed, citing his violent nature and the fact that he committed the alleged crime while on bail for another case.

Presiding Judge Justice Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie ruled against bail, marking the second rejection.

BenLord remains in custody as the case continues on February 25, 2025.
