Missing ECG containers: Security agencies recover cables at scrap dealers’ site

A joint operation by the Korle Bu District Police and National Security has recovered electrical cables. These items are suspected to be part of missing containers from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at Tema Port.

The operation began after a tip-off on Sunday morning in Accra. Police located a scrap dealers’ dumping site near the Korle Bu Mortuary.

Chief Superintendent Kingsford Appiah confirmed the recovery of the ECG materials. He spoke in an exclusive interview with the Ghanaian Times.

No arrests have been made yet. All suspects fled when they learned about the security team's arrival.
