MoMo vendor shot dead in Krofrom robbery

A 27-year-old Mobile Money (MoMo) vendor, Patricia Nimako, has been shot and killed by suspected armed robbers at Krofrom in the Ashanti Region.

The assailants, two armed men, attacked her kiosk around 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, stealing GH₵10,000 and mobile phones before fleeing toward Airport Road.

Eyewitnesses say Patricia was shot moments after withdrawing money from the bank.

Efforts to stop the robbers failed as they fired warning shots to escape.

She was rushed to Manhyia Government Hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.

Residents fear more attacks as MoMo robberies rise in Ghana. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
