The Golden Touch Foundation (GTF) has secured the release of two inmates at Koforidua Prisons by paying their court fines, allowing them to reunite with their families for Christmas.

The beneficiaries, Bekoe Alex, 27, and Essel David, 42, were jailed due to their inability to pay fines of GH₵3,600 and GH₵2,720, respectively.

With GTF's intervention, the two were freed and provided with transportation funds to return to their communities.

President of GTF, Florence Owusua Mensah, emphasized the organization's commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, calling for public support to extend similar relief to more inmates.

The foundation also donated beverages and biscuits to the prison and announced plans to support mothers in NICUs and vulnerable groups in January 2025.
